INGREDIENTS
Mixture A:
- 2 egg yolks
- 35g white sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp milk
- 3 tbsp mazola oil
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 50g plain flour
- 20g cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
Mixture B:
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp vinegar
- 35g white sugar
Whip:
- 250ml whipping cream
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
Mixture A:
- Beat the egg yolks, sugar, salt, milk, vegetable oils, vanilla, plain flour, cornstarch, and baking powder until they become fluffy and pale yellow.
Mixture B:
- In another container, beat egg whites with vinegar. Whip until frothy, then add in white sugar. Then whip until firm peaks form.
- Gradually fold in both mixtures gently so as not to deflate the egg white meringue.
- Pour the mixture into a 7-inch square pan. Bake at 180°C for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Let it cool completely, and slice into even layers. Cut out circles using a cup or a can.
Whip ingredients:
- Whip whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Layer the whipped cream, sponge cake, and strawberry slices in a can. Keep repeating until the can is full.
