Mixture A:

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 35g white sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp mazola oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 50g plain flour
  • 20g cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Mixture B:

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp vinegar
  • 35g white sugar


  • 250ml whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla


Mixture A:

  1. Beat the egg yolks, sugar, salt, milk, vegetable oils, vanilla, plain flour, cornstarch, and baking powder until they become fluffy and pale yellow.

Mixture B:

  1. In another container, beat egg whites with vinegar. Whip until frothy, then add in white sugar. Then whip until firm peaks form.
  2. Gradually fold in both mixtures gently so as not to deflate the egg white meringue.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 7-inch square pan. Bake at 180°C for 20 to 25 minutes.
  4. Let it cool completely, and slice into even layers. Cut out circles using a cup or a can.

Whip ingredients:

  1. Whip whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  2. Layer the whipped cream, sponge cake, and strawberry slices in a can. Keep repeating until the can is full.
