Ingredients:
- 3/4 lb (350g) top loin strip steak, cut into thin 1-inch strips
- 1 tablespoon sodium reduced soy sauce 30 ml
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch 5 ml
- 1 teaspoon dry sherry 5 ml
- Vegetables
- 2 tablespoons MAZOLA canola, sunflower, or corn oil 30 ml, divided
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced, divided
- 4 slices ginger, divided
- 350 g broccoli crowns cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1/3 cup low-sodium chicken broth 75 ml
- 1 medium red bell pepper, stem and seeds removed, diced
- 2 stalks green onion, thinly sliced
Garlic Ginger Sauce
- 1/4 cup low sodium chicken broth 60 ml
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce 5 ml
- 2 teaspoon cornstarch 10 ml
Instructions:
- Mix together beef, cornstarch, soy sauce, and sherry. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Stir together sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
- In a skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of MAZOLA oil over medium-high heat. Add half of ginger and half of garlic and saute until fragrant for about 30 seconds. After that, add beef and stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes, or until half cooked. Scoop beef into a place and set aside.
- Heat remaining 1 tablespoon of MAZOLA oil over medium-high heat. Tip skillet or wok to coat the bottom of the pan with oil. Add remaining garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add broccoli and saute for 1 minute. Pour in broth and cover wok. Cook for about 3 minutes until tender crisp.
- Remove the lid and cook until most of the liquid has evaporated. After that, add red peppers and cook for about 1 minute. Add beef and after that, stir sauce until corn starch is dissolved, then add to beef mixture. Cook until the sauce is thickened for about 2 minutes. Continue to stir to coat meat and broccoli with sauce. Sprinkle in green onions and cook for another minute and you are done.

BAHAN-BAHAN
- 3/4 lb (350g) daging, dipotong menjadi jalur nipis 1 inci
- 1 sudu besar kicap
- 1 sudu teh tepung jagung
- 2 sudu besar minyak kanola Mazola
- 2 ulas bawang putih, dihiris
- 4 keping halia
- 350g brokoli dipotong menjadi kepingan 1/2 inci
- 1/3 cawan air rebusan ayam
- 1 lada benggala merah, batang dan biji dibuang, dipotong dadu
Sos Halia Bawang Putih:
- 1/4 cawan air rebusan ayam
- 1 sudu teh sos tiram
- 2 sudu teh tepung jagung
CARA PENYEDIAAN
- Campurkan daging lembu, tepung jagung, dan kicap. Perap dalam peti ais sekurang-kurangnya 30 minit.
- Gaulkan bahan sos dalam mangkuk kecil dan ketepikan.
- Dalam kuali, panaskan 1 sudu besar minyak Mazola di atas api yang sederhana tinggi. Masukkan separuh halia dan separuh bawang putih dan tumis sehingga naik bau selama kira-kira 30 saat. Selepas itu, masukkan daging lembu dan tumis lebih kurang 1-2 minit, atau sehingga separuh masak. Keluarkan daging lembu dan ketepikan.
- Panaskan 1 sudu besar minyak Mazola di atas api sederhana besar. Masukkan baki bawang putih dan halia. Tumis lebih kurang 30 saat hingga naik bau. Masukkan brokoli dan tumis selama 1 minit. Masukkan air rebusan ayam kuah dan tutup kuali. Masak selama kira-kira 3 minit sehingga lembut.
- Masak sehingga air hampir habis. Selepas itu, masukkan lada merah dan masak selama lebih kurang 1 minit. Masukkan daging lembu dan kacau sos sehingga tepung jagung larut. Masak sehingga sos pekat lebih kurang 2 minit.
